Overview

Add Phanes

Add the bot to your Telegram or Discord group and set the required permissions.

We advise that you use any of our backup bots. You will have the same settings across all bots.

  1. Open one of the bots above and pick your group.
  2. Make Phanes an admin with the Delete Messages right.
  3. Keep Embed Links allowed. It is not an admin right: it sits under the group's member permissions.

Use only one Phanes bot in a group.

Important — must read
  1. To get the best experience and don't lose calls later, upgrade your group to a Supergroup now! The quickest way to upgrade is to temporarily make the group public and then private again. Verify your group type by typing /id in the chat.
  2. Phanes works only in Groups, not Channels.

#Discord

  1. Click here to open the invite.
  2. Pick your server, keep every permission ticked and tap Authorize.
  3. Type /settings in a channel to check that Phanes answers.
  4. Set up alerts with /alerts and the tweet feed with /xfeed.

The invite asks for these permissions:

  • View Channel
  • Send Messages
  • Send Messages in Threads
  • Manage Messages
  • Embed Links
  • Attach Files
  • Read Message History
  • Use External Emojis
  • Add Reactions
  • Manage Webhooks — /alerts and the live tweet feed create a webhook in the channel you pick

#First Steps

Once Phanes is in your group:

Command What it does
/settings Open the group settings panel — every toggle lives here
/dapp Open the group's web leaderboard
/pnlbg Give the group's PNL cards a custom background
/lang Set the group's interface language (Telegram only)

Commands are rate limited per user to keep things fair — normal use never reaches the thresholds. See Rate Limits for how they work, and how anonymous admins are affected.
